Frequently Asked Questions

Over the past 26 years we’ve been asked every question imagainable, so what we’ve done is put together a list of all our most asked questions. Feel free to get in touch should your query not be listed.

1How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment by popping into the salon during our opening hours or by telephoning Louisa on 01325 462497. We have an answering machine to take your call if we are not available, or you can email us at louisasdoggroomingsalon@gmail.com with any enquiries you have.

2How long will you keep my dog?

Our system minimises the time your dog is in the salon and provides a stress-free environment for them. Usually, your dog wouldn’t be at our salon for more than two hours, depending on the type of grooming we have to complete.

3Do I need to walk my dog before their appointment?

Walking your dog is a great idea and allows them to release some energy before the grooming process starts. We feel it makes the process easier and more enjoyable for your dog.

4We offer a range of styles of your choice dependant on the condition of the coat and that it is knot free and the dog is of good temperament. We offer different price ranges for you to choose from, which reflect the work done.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
5Do you offer a collection service?

Unfortunately not at the moment.

6Is there anything I need to bring?

You could bring your dog’s favourite treats with you, something delicious which your pet won't refuse. We have found that treats acts as a perfect reward for that good behaviour and helps us here to gain your dog's trust.

7Can you give me a price over the phone?
Prices are set realistically depending on the breed of the dog and the work carried out. You may incur additional charges for removing stubborn knots, well overdue and unkempt coats or aggressive behaviour.
8Should I feed my dog before I bring them for grooming?

You may feed your dog a small amount as this can keep them comfortable during the grooming. Please do not overfeed and allow your dog the opportunity to toilet well before arrival.

Call or email Louisa if you have any additional questions….
